Molle Handgun Pistol Belt RH Holster Camo Woodland

There are six of these "Molle Handgun Pistol Belt RH Holster" holsters on TacticalGearTrade.com. The only real difference between them is the color, or camouflage pattern. I am reviewing the Woodland version as that is what I bought. Woodland may not be your thing, but where I live, it works. If it not your thing, there are five other patterns and colors to choose from.
This is an excellent "wrap around", or "tornado" style, universal holster. This type of holster is famous for custom fitting a wide variety of semi-automatic pistols. Mine has been fitted around multiple pistols, from sub-compact to full size frame pistols, two of them including under barrel tactical flashlights. It adapted to fit all of them easily, held them securely, and with no slippage. The draw for each pistol was firm but easy, as was the return to the holster, and re-securing the thumb break.
One of the best features of this model holster are the MOLLE straps: they are set close together. In fact, they are sewn next to each other. It is this geometry that allows the holster to be used as a belt holster, the close set MOLLE straps serving as a sturdy belt loop. However, the close straps also allow versatility in alternate holster placement. Like a high waist position on your LBE, FLC or chest-rig? No problem, this holster will MOLLE in high, tight and sturdy. Want a cross draw position, either belt or on your LBE? No problem, this holster will MOLLE in, using the least space possible. Want a horizontal mount on your vest or chest rig? But this is a vertical holster, right? This is where this holster's close set MOLLE straps really come in handy. Use a MOLLE "horizontal adapter". Mount it on your LBE, and MOLLE the holster to the adapter. The close set MOLLE straps provide a tight, rock solid mount, and this holster will securely carry the loaded pistol weight with no problem.
I have owned several other wrap around holsters. This is one matches the big name brands in quality of materials and construction. Stressing and pulling on the seams didn't reveal any weaknesses. All of the seams are tightly sewn, and durable. More over, this holster has a tighter, more versatile design, which allows it to be easily moved, re-configured and used in multiple applications and positions. The big name brands are much more "one trick pony". And expensive. The big name brands are expensive. This holster is more than affordable. Given the quality it brings to the game, this holster is a standout value.

This is a tough, well constructed wrap, or "tornado", style holster. I have owned similar holsters from Condor, Onetigris and other brands. This one compares very well, and considering the price, it is outstanding. One of the best advantages of this holster are the MOLLE attachment straps. They are set close together. This allows it to be used as a belt holster. However, this close placement also allows much easier mounting in other locations on MOLLE gear, such as a LBE vest, FLC, or tactical chest rig. Want a high waist carry, on your vest? Done. Want a cross carry on your off side? Done. How about a cross chest, horizontal carry, on a chest rig? But this is a vertical holster, right? Nope. Buy one horizontal adapter panel, attach it to your LBE, FLC or chest rig, and this holster will MOLLE right to it, but *only* because it's straps are close together. Much more flexible and easier than other holsters on the market.

The construction quality is well above average and has resisted my determined efforts to find it's weaknesses. It easily adapted to several different pistols, from sub-compact, to full sized frames. It held all of them securely, while allowing quick access to the pistols. Returning the pistols to the holster, and securing them, was just as easy.

Woodland may not be your thing, but where I live, it works. If you don't like Woodland, or you live in a different environment, choose one of the other colors. You won't be disappointed in the holster.
